Terms of Service
Effective date: September 20, 2026
These Terms govern your use of ReadAloudKit. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
ReadAloudKit provides an independent directory of official Storyline Online resources and tools for preparing read-aloud lessons. Official videos and guides remain on third-party websites. ReadAloudKit also develops original teaching guidance, activities, planning tools, and printable materials.
ReadAloudKit is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Storyline Online or the SAG-AFTRA Foundation. References to books, authors, readers, and third-party services identify the resources being discussed; ownership remains with the applicable rights holders.
Accounts and teacher use
You must provide accurate account information and protect your sign-in credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account and should notify us if you believe it has been accessed without permission.
The service is intended for adults, including teachers and parents. It is not a student information system. Do not upload or enter student names, education records, health information, or other sensitive student data.
Content accuracy and classroom judgment
We aim to verify book facts and clearly distinguish official information from ReadAloudKit recommendations. Teaching materials are general educational resources, not a guarantee of a particular learning outcome or a substitute for a teacher's professional judgment, school policy, accessibility obligations, or required curriculum.
Official links and third-party content can change without notice. We may correct, revise, temporarily unpublish, or retire records when a source becomes unavailable or a material issue is reported.
License for ReadAloudKit materials
Unless a page states otherwise, an active member may use downloaded ReadAloudKit teaching materials repeatedly with the classes or learners they personally teach. You may adapt them for those learners. You may not resell, publicly post, upload to a shared marketplace, distribute outside your own teaching context, or remove ownership notices.
Official Storyline Online videos and guides are not licensed by ReadAloudKit and remain subject to the rights and terms of their owners.
Guest drafts and saved plans
A guest draft may be stored only in your browser and can be lost if browser storage is cleared or the device changes. An account is required for server-side saved plans. Personal plans are private by default; the first version of the service does not provide public plan sharing.
Paid plans, cancellation, and refunds
Teacher and Pro subscriptions are not yet active for billing. Current prices and planned benefits are shown for transparency and may change before paid launch. ReadAloudKit will not charge a membership until the site presents an active checkout and the promised reviewed content is available.
Before paid launch, these Terms will be updated with the payment processor, renewal timing, cancellation effective date, refund policy, taxes, and post-cancellation access rules. Any checkout will display the applicable price and billing period before confirmation.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, scrape it in a way that disrupts service, distribute malicious code, use it to violate law or third-party rights, or bypass access controls and membership restrictions.
Availability and warranties
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent availability of third-party links, indexing by search engines, or a specific educational result. To the extent allowed by applicable law, implied warranties are disclaimed.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ReadAloudKit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Suspension or termination
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, rights holders, service security, or legal compliance, or when these Terms are materially violated. You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion under the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the product changes. Material changes will be posted with a revised effective date. If a change materially affects an active paid subscription in the future, we will provide notice appropriate to the change.
